No Live Stream? Here’s Why India vs India A Is Behind Closed Doors

Shubman Gill will work under Gautam Gambhir as head coach

The warm-up match between India A and India is said to be a closed-door affair, barring media and broadcasters from the Kent Cricket Club.

India's main team will face India A in a 4-day warm-up match happening now (June 13–16) at the Kent Cricket Club. The match will not be televised or streamed on any platform. As a result, fans will miss the opportunity to see the Indian players in action, unlike the India A vs England Lions 2-Test match, which was available on JioCinema and Hotstar.

India vs India A: Closed-Door Match, No Broadcast

The BCCI has barred media and broadcasters from accessing the venue to keep the match private. The board has stated that a member of India’s coaching support staff will be available to answer questions at the end of the match.

This closed-door warm-up match was teased before the official announcement of the England tour. The decision came after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India’s practice sessions were overwhelmed by crowds and attention. Coach Gautam Gambhir felt that the crowd interference had become a distraction during practice.
